Logical Vs Illogical Vs Not Sure On Logic

L Vs. IL Vs. NSOL

Logical Vs. Illogical Vs. Not Sure On Logic

This flow chart explains: Why and how an employee is ending up with performing a task in spite of one’s opinion on it.

In a corporate establishment, most of the times it happens that an employee will act on the task at hand irrespective of his/her agreement or disagreement on its logical correctness.

Prime reasons for doing so might include hierarchical decisions, Organization requirements, internal politics, and a leaders wish to showcase his/her team’s efficiency and an employee’s inability to derive the task’s logical state
 In detail:
When task is assigned, an employee has to go with self-analysis as foremost action. We normally hear any of these 3 sounds...
1)    Found Logical?
2)    Found Illogical?
3)    Oneself Not Sure On Logic.

Case –1: Found Logical:

Interpretation 1: you are having a complete clarity on Task.
Verdict 1: Please go-ahead and perform the same.

Case -2: Not Sure on Logic:
Interpretation 2.1: This is when we say “I am in dilemma”, Most of the employees fall into this type of situation which is easier than illogical point in drawing a reason ‘’ Why are we performing task?”
Reason behind not sure on logic is because of inability to derive the task’s logical state or improper self-analysis.
Verdict 2.1: It’s a need of reiterating one’s analysis or enquiring colleagues to derive a logic behind.

ΓΌ  Sometimes, we might ends up with the same question (or) might found logical (Refer: Case 1) (or) illogical (Below: case 3

)Interpretation  2.2 :Every employee who ends up with a point of “Not sure on logic” for a second time is Just because of 2 reasons- one could be inability to derive the task’s logical state and 2nd could be a Manager asked you to perform the same despite of giving any explanation. There could be a reason behind not disclosing the same with us, having various reasons as mentioned above like hierarchical decisions, internal politics, and managers are wishing to showcase his/her team’s efficiency.
Verdict 2.2: Also please go ahead with performing task.

Case –3: Found Illogical:
Interpretation 3.1: This is a highly toxic texture. Because of deriving a task is illogical after analyzing which slowly forms a demotivation layer in the brain which made you to become very rigid in performing the same
Verdict 3.1: Toxic texture has to be medicated. It means, desensitize one’s personal opinion and have to think/enquire from a management aspect to understand an organization requirement.

This is the case which gives 3 combinations to know “Why we perform the task” and 1 combination of “We don’t” on a thought of Company Requirement Vs. deciding one’s logical state. They are:

a)      Yes for company requirement and found logical for oneself (which ends as Case 1)
b)      Yes for company requirement and still not sure on logic (which ends as case 2)
c)       Yes for company requirement and found illogical. (Below 3.2)
d)      NO for company requirement. (Below 3.3)

Interpretation 3.2. (For point c): Yes for company requirement and found illogical
Every employee would have faced this situation. Even would have performed the task by continuously saying “Don’t know for what I am doing this and don’t know what output that could get out of it.
Verdict 3.2(For point c): Even though one will be asked to perform the task because of hierarchical decisions.

Interpretation 3.3(For point d): NO for company requirement
Verdict 3.3(For point d):  Answer is clear ‘NO’ when it is illogical and No for company requirement. But having smart convincing power to communicate this point to supervisors/management and dropping the same

Over all Verdict:
If we realize, complete task performing decision is moving around 3 points (Logical, Illogical and Not Sure on Logic) and many combinations in confusing manner which is what every employee is unable to figure out how and why it is happening to oneself.
Relating every minute line to the tasks that we perform makes we understand better.

Learning's from Ghazi Attack

Learning's from Ghazi Attack

1) Jeet chal ke hamare paas nahi aata h … ham kudh ladke haasil karna padega

Of course victory never comes to us, we have to fight and achieve it. Sometimes we might miss the target but if we don’t stop fighting for the same. It will be yours on one day for sure.
one more point - If we don’t fight for what we want to achieve, then we should not feel bad on what we have lost. Its just on you..... what & How you do...!!!

2) Motivation in the life/corporate/war is not a want, it’s a need. Where a leader has to think on.

whenever we get a big back hit, we steps back, we loose our confidence. At this point, We just need a few words that reminds what we have to go for and a feel that we are here for.
Here, 2 Leaders motivated at two situations.

a) R V Singh - Captain of S21 motivation is not when we got a back hit… Its before we get into the war, something like pre placement talk before placements or a talk on a project results before starting it.
At this situation most of the people has confusions/doubts. Here, half of the team has a doubt on drill as whether it could be a war.

Clearing these confusions is Leaders responsibility and gearing up teams confidence & attention too.
(Nothing but communicating the decisions before implementing those directly).

b) Lt. Commander Arjun motivation is when we got a back hit…..1st sentence that Arjun started is mentioning R V Singh (his greatness).

Yes, it brings an impact because of recency effect and it was a critical incident too.
If I am not wrong, all group discussions at placements/panel discussions majorly covers current burning issues and new business plans of any big company which is based on current market and political conditions.

3) Preventing a spread of Negative.

Devraj is an Executive Officer who Heads submarine after captain.

If we notice here. He is the one always cut down the negative message that is getting spread against their leader. No matter who is the leader at respective situations.

#1 When Arjun is coming with a negative justification on R V Singh's drill and behavior towards his subordinates.
#2 when an operator comes up with a revolutionary point on Arjun. When Arjun is becoming captain despite of his expectation.(Operator wants to lead ship by Devraj).

Yes, every support has to be in this lines. In corporate, this never comes by own into subordinates because this is a replica of how the leader behaves and inspires.

we have a sentences:
1) Prevention is better than cure.
2) Kill the message, instead of hunting for a messenger.

yaarr….!!! Please give me a clarity what to follow here?.....!!

If a leaders started preventing a spreading of Negative in before hand, there would not be a birth of second sentence also. This just depends on a leader how he/she behaves and stands for his/her own team.

4) Positives out of Negative.

Captain Rajaq (Pakistan)
Never followed an expected path. Being smart at every step in the Business is very important.
If we follow the same technology where competitor follows and releases the same customer plans, we never become unique and we loose the victory in initial stage itself.

Run till the end of race and become a best competitive history instead of just agreeing the lose.

5) Pressure Absorption.

If we see the Leaders of the ship speaks in a very low voice whenever they have doubt on enemy presence. (#1 Periscope depth @merchant ship sinking, #2 Detecting a water mines signal when it was a trap)

it is very important of absorbing pressure from Top Management.
Being a leader - Transferring of this pressure to down the line other than direct impacted stakeholders brings a mental pressure which creates a chaos situation and also brings the quality/productivity of work down.

Its just a leaders responsibility to absorb the pressure and just delivering a plan to execute.

Case study on crisis management #Out of Experience

Case study on crisis management #Out of Experience
  • I and my friend Rohit had gone for my friends marriage at Ahmedabad. Of course new place and not sure about the quality of road transport.
  • Rohit had booked return ticket of AC Sleeper Bus under travels 'M" (8:30 PM) which is few km away from where we are ….!!!!!
  • All together - they speak Guajarati, they know Hindi very well first and that’s of course fine. But its clearly showing up that we are not local and easy to loot.
  • We are not comfortable enough with the routes too, what Google shows is our way (even we go by auto). But the people are very sweet and no auto guy has misguided and not tried to loot us
Lets get into topic

I and Rohit started by auto to the pickup location given by travels, with some tongue twisted road name which I spelled 3 times with my half slank to an auto guy.
we reached at the stop, we have seen bus parked near some garbage at highway.
Driver says that this is not the bus to be started at 8:30 but at 9:30. we have called travels and got settled the situation by coordinating with driver (which is same bus).
We got into this superb bus....!!!
Let me describe the bus here - it is smelling like I kept my face in a bag of 100 ripped onions, bugs on seats, no lights, roads are more cleaned (appreciating point on government)than my superb bus.
we are just thinking that this person will clean everything by the time it starts. waited for almost till 9:00PM and he is not even moving from his initial position...!!!
I asked the driver in some discussion....!!!
BHAI- you have very less time to clean the bus like arranging all bed sheets and stuff.....!!!!
He replied in very smart way...!!!
"Aap kaha se hoo???".... Do you expect anything now??? Here I am so innocent and asked him again.... He just nodded his head and said 'NO' by looking at me from top to bottom.

After 2 mints, I and Rohit just looked each other. Rohit said, Lets Leave from here....
we did too….!!! by booking up a new bus under travels 'N".  If we would have  taken that bus, we would be reaching our destination with some complementary # Malaria/Typhoid.

we started by auto again on whatever the price that driver said, because auto meter is under repair and its an highway (difficult to get an another auto).

Rohit has shared a feedback to the online travel agent (which even rated this 3.9/5) where he booked this travels 'M' from. Of course with his COLD emotions.
Meanwhile, my friend Rohit is just sharing his experience earlier how he missed bus just because of one small mistake and decided to leave on the same night ......
I realized later, what we had experienced is just nothing in front of what he had earlier. Because he reached home by taking 8 buses, crossing 3 states, staying in a lodge for 1 night, half knowledge on routes.
just his 14 hrs. of travel has become almost 32 hrs.....!!!!

Here we go with 2nd bus, we sat in the bus after an hour almost. Conductor has come and asked for ticket numbers (I and J)….. He did not found our names in the list but we have tickets in our phone. Conductor went back and got a new refreshed printed list…. Still we are out from the list.
went back by taking PNR number from us.....
Here comes the truth, Booked a bus on same date but for NEXT MONTH. So bad time we had, the both dates got matched with Sunday is the reason behind this mistake while booking.
Finally, we are out from there with no tickets.....
But this travels guy suggested us to go for travels 'F'.... Expecting a possibility.

we are just Neither panicked nor imbalanced. In fact more confident that’s we are absolutely cool. We are just managing and choosing an options one after another.

We are now at 3rd travels 'F' asking for tickets and managed to get 2 AC Sleeper tickets but at 11 PM.
We didn’t had dinner yet and don’t know how this bus could be…. Its almost 10:20 PM and now we have only a road side food option in this short span.
He has some Chinese which can just CLAIMED as Chinese.....!!! (Plz understand)

Got into the bus at 11:00 PM, I cannot say its bad or good but ok...!!! he has given 1 bed sheet to both of us..... I don't know how would a strangers got seats together can manage???? (Here, he just gave it to me).
we are just recollecting what all had happened and just laughing like anything......

Next day, we are about to reach Mumbai,
New hurdle is waiting for us ….!!!!we come to know that this bus don’t drop us at Navi Mumbai, the last stop is Bandra.......
and of course yar its already late and these all are very frustrated situations.
Continuously checking on OLA for better rates and asked him to stop at Andheri where cab is costing only Rs.700 where as half an hour back it was Rs.1500. It is costing same from Bandra too.. (just a thought to at least save our time).
Booked a cab,
wah....!!!cab driver is unable to figure out where we are...!!! we asked driver to stay at some metro station which is 300 - 400 meters away from where we got down. we walked down till there with the luggage and frustrated mood. we are finally in....!!!!
Rohit requested driver to take through my way even though its going to be so long...!!!

At the back of his mind, Rohit is feeling bad that all this mess is because of him and
while I am getting down he said- "I am sorry yar, all is my bad."
I replied with a smile…"chill yar….. its just happens."
He left with a smile on his face.

I know and it is of course unintentional. He even knows that I will not think on negative side
But a sentence he said and I replied actually means a lot to both of us.

Time to get into GYAN

1) Three common elements that we see In crisis are….!!!!

a) A Threat -Here, Loosing up a mode of transport to reach destination, Unknown locality, places at highway (public free and scary).
b) Surprise elements- unexpected condition of bus which has a rating on 3.9/5#1st situation, wrong booking of tickets for next month and no availability of tickets for further buses #2nd situation, 3rd bus not dropping us at our destination #3rd situation.
c) Short decision- Leaving out from the 1st bus and booking a tickets for second, choosing an auto for any price that he asked for, just leaving out from 2nd bus and choosing 3rd one, booking a cab - looking at best possible way.

2) Few types of crisis are below:

a) Sudden Crisis - A unwarned crisis that comes beyond ones control which is what we see
  • In availability of Auto rickshaw here.
  • 1st bus got delayed and also its condition.
  • 3rd bus arrival stops are not at the point where we wanna go.
b) Smoldering crisis - Smoldering Crisis and sudden crisis has a thin line difference. This is due to our internal issues like negligence which we have done while booking a ticket for 2nd bus (chosen wrong date)

c) Signal Detection.
Sense-making: Making sense of crisis retrospectively - Identifying the threat of falling ill by looking at bus condition & detecting a less possibility of auto rickshaws at highway and taking the 1st one.
Perspective-taking: An answer from 1st bus driver of where are you from???... understands everything (An other person point of view).

d) Preparation and Prevention.
After a detection, Preparation and prevention is very important one.
Where we prepared and prevented our self by booking a 2nd bus immediately by looking at the distance of pickup location too.

e) Containment and damage control.
The aim of the crisis is of course to limit the threats and hunt for survival.

Here, thought of booking a 2nd bus to save our health
Booking a cab for a better price and also to save the time of reaching destination instead going till Bandra.

f) Recovery
If we notice …. We have blocked our 2 bus ticket charges with various online agents.
Organization should not concentrate only on limiting threat but also have to run the existing one right…????
This is how we thought of giving feedback on 1st bus condition so that we can push for my returns and
2nd bus ticket is booked for march and it is easy to get full refund.

g) Backup.
Organizations always try to have parental company for their economical crisis or for any support. This is a very good support to incumbent who can concentrate on innovations without thinking on any financial crisis.
Rohit concentrated on solving this issue leaving his pocket weight (ran out with the balance too)…..Just because I am with him for backup.

3) Learning other management lessons from one management lesson.

This entire story run behinds the crisis management. Once we see heading "A case study on crisis management", we generally stop thinking outside the border. we can learn other management lessons from the same……
In fact we have many in one situation itself…!!!

A few are below…!!!

a) Need for change and risk management is clearly portrayed.

b) Leadership qualities that I observed from my friend Rohit.
  • Very patient through out the problem.
  • Never gave up on the process.
  • Motivational story what he experienced earlier. This of course require to your army to fight against your opponent.
  • Looking at your stakeholders- Rohit is always thinking about my difficulty and he is trying to make me comfortable.
c) Rewards and Recognition.

That’s ok if we work till 12:00 PM at night to complete an emergency task and might got frustrated, but a single sentence from boss like "GOOD WORK DONE".A small sentence in a mail is a Reward which brings a glow and satisfaction to us ryt…???
Here, A single sentence from Rohit  "I am sorry yar, all is my bad." and same single sentence from me "chill yar….. its just happens." means a lot to us and brought a smile on our faces.

5 Corporate Lessons from KAABIL

1) Plan A and Plan B.

Having Plan A and Plan B -  Sounding So clear that we are not usual and getting ready for a raise again (Alert to opponent: once fall doesn't mean that we are down).
Sometimes it sounds like we might loose confidence, How...???because we are pre deciding that we are going to loose first one and planning for second, If you can resist on that single emotion, we will feel that we are very secured.

Corporate Examples:
HR Uses this Plan A and Plan B as "Succession Planning."
Business is always ready with different answers when they present Business Plan to Top Management.

2) Never Give-up and Grab an Opportunity with high attention. Of course being Smart.

Hrithik Roshan has 3 targets here….!!!
He was failing in between and had strong back hits while executing every of his plan. He is down almost every time and raised again. Finally Achieved.
Actually If we give up on our OWN Plans, its clear that we have not achieved our target and we lost it right?, So why cant we try till the end, we would get ONE SINGLE chance at any point to win the race.

Here, we have to be very smart enough in grabbing up an opportunity with high attention(as per movie, he paid attention on direction of bottles that getting thrown # Target 1,odour of socks #Target 2,sound of breathe #Target 3).

3) Prediction of Threat & Analyzing your stake holders.

Prediction of Threat is very important which many of us ignore.
Hrithik Predicted that a day that comes for sure where police get involved and investigate on his calling Location.
He could have thought that many of customers use public telephonic booth and how a owner can remember me for just four calls.
Then,
we have a sentence - cat drinking milk with closed eyes and thinks that no one can see her.

But here, Hrithik just closed all others too along with him.

Prediction in corporate
Competitive analysis is very much important in before hand to understand whether we have to brighten our eyes more or need to close their ones.
Predictive Attrition a HR does helps us to preplan most of the things that would effect business also right?...!!!!

4) Strengthen your strengths and convert your weakness as your strength. (In a way - SWOT)

Having SWOT for oneself is very important- This has been shown in very impeccable way here.

Strengths- Hrithik is very Talented, Intelligent, attention to detail, smart, confident and dedicated which can do with all other his body parts.
In a way. he can see everything but just not with his own eyes.

Weakness - Eye Vision. It has been portrayed in such a way that he JUST don't have an eye vision but everything else. He made this weakness into his strength in this way.
He achieved targets in very tricky and planned manner which is sensing like it is not possible for a blind person to do, police cant do anything without a proof, also fear of NGO's (NGO is also strengthen point to Actor)

Opportunities- Behavior of Amit, possession of wasim's father, Power of Amit's Brother to trap an inspector, Telephone booth boy blindness, over and above - a common and blind man who cant get a doubt on, Time and places he chose to achieve targets (public free)... etc. etc. etc.
Again its a COMPETITION ANALYSIS.

Threats: Power of Amit's Brother, Police Authorities....!!!
Which hrithik taken care in first 2 targets without disclosing oneself.....!!!

Similar way - We have to be away and have to un
show oneself to the Threats (corporate Negative Politicians)

 5) Love Leads all your Way.

Hrithik loves his wife more than oneself, This is why he got dedication on targets, took everything to heart, he didn’t gave up, he faced all odds but finally achieved. This is what we need, we just need to love our OWN JOB- Everything will be in our pocket.
